Special Tasks You Can Delegate with Your Virtual Staff

Why are VAs called assistants when they can do so much more than just assistant work?
You may not think that virtual staff can attack unique projects just because you’ve never seen or heard of them doing that. Well, I’m here to give you a scope of just how a VA can go above and beyond your expectations for special projects. Here’s how I had a virtual employee create a Point of Display (POS) for me in the US.

POS Display
A POS display is marketing but above and beyond marketing It is really about engaging and grabbing attention when you are at a retail store and enticing the consumer to buy something. You hear less and less of consumers purchasing what they need in stores which makes it that more crucial. In that case, you have to have all the details right, the colors, the size, the positioning, etc. We needed this project to happen as we enter a major retail store with 28 locations.

How did my executive assistant (VA) Kristina make this a show stopping display thousands of miles away? The project was a unique, one-of-one situation to show off an invention like LapLok (www.shop.laplok.com) so she was up for a challenge!

  • Finding a designer: who could engineer this display and make a 3D image come to life? She found an actual engineer who created CAD drawings and graphic design of what it would look like w.
    Finding-A-Designer
  • Facilitated the creation of display assets: we needed not only the design of the display, but also eye-grabbing and colorful stickers and banners.
  • Display details: we needed 30 dead laptops and 30 dead phones and didn’t want to spend a fortune. She found high quantities and low prices!
  • The physical display: this is a one-of-one, truly custom item that can only be produced by a professional. My assistant found someone who was able to work with us through a multitude of iterations, a true diamond in the rough.

Overall, this unique project took us, I would say, almost 50 hours of time to get it right. But as I’ve said before, there’s a value of getting it right and there’s a cost of getting it wrong. When you are introducing a new product in the marketplace, such as TechLok is, having a bang up, really compelling point of sale display will be the difference between countless sales. Sales for us also means more revenue for the companies that showcase TechLok. Looking at how this all came together, I couldn’t be more grateful to have Kristina on my team to help make this happen. There are so many projects like this that VAs are able to crush just the same. What outstanding projects do you have on your list needing to be checked off?
