Streamlining Your Business with Virtual Staffing Assistants: A Comprehensive Guide to Onboarding

Today, we’ll dive into the world of virtual staffing, a versatile solution that goes beyond the traditional notion of virtual assistance. VAs wear a wide range of hats that can be tailored to suit any business’s needs, from administrative support to social media management, sales, lead generation, and project management. So here’s how we onboard a VA to be a valuable asset to your business at Strategic Assistant Staffing.

5-Tasks

A business is built upon administrative activities, such as the ones mentioned above, and we have watched the workforce switch to a work-from-home era. The combination of necessary administrative tasks and virtual employees makes a VA an easy solution. So now how do you implement them into your established or growing business?

One of the most common concerns is how you match with the most compatible candidate. What are the steps to onboarding them? It’s simple. It’s just like you would onboard an employee here in the US. Before you actually make the hire, our process includes a matchmaking session to understand your needs, your industry, and how you want to operate.

We try to find and match the perfect fit for the right service, whether it’s a premium VA or more of an entry-level VA based on the work you need. I firmly believe that employees are the foundation of every company, and having the right people in the right seats makes all the difference in the world for creating a successful business. For example, I am 5 for 5 with VAs and are some of my best employees still to this day.

VA-Raising-Hand

We have a one-time recruitment fee of a couple hundred dollars and we have that recruiter go out on your behalf to do the matchmaking process. We have a pool of VAs that have been screened by our HR director in the Philippines. When we find the potential candidates, we have them complete a 2-3 minute video overview so you can hear their English, their tone, how they respond to questions, and get a general snapshot of who they are. This interview process allows you to save time by giving you a sneak peek at your options before diving into a full interview. Of those selected candidates, you choose who to do formal interviews with or you can choose to forgo the interview altogether if you like a VA automatically.

During my last hiring process, I interviewed two out of the three from the video snapshots. I made the choice with Mariya and she has been phenomenal! It does happen where some clients request another 3 VAs to interview. Usually, we try to hit it right off the mark and get you three great people that we think will fit the role but we want to make sure you have options that you can be confident in.

Onboarding-to-do-list

Once you match with a VA, we actually have a training program that specialize them in their role they are about to take on with you. VAs have their own experience with either university degrees and work experience plus general VA training, however we take it up a notch with our own internal training program. You also provide us with a detailed job description so when that person comes on your team, they have a good understanding of project management and the expectations of the role. And then, at the end of the day, you choose who has the qualities and personality that you and your company needs. Then, we bring them on to SAS officially and be on this job as a month-to-month contract basis for your satisfaction.

Our goal is longevity. We want the chemistry to be there for a lasting partnership between you and the VA. And who knows, the next thing you know, you will be like me who started with one and now I have five VAs running a majority of my business from the Philippines. Let us do the heavy lifting and recruitment process and that way they can be a valuable asset to your business. Let us onboard your VA for optimal results.
